Finding Help with Coverage

Vermont Health Connect offers a comprehensive consumer assistance program.  An enrollment support unit and a Vermont-based call center (toll-free 1-855-899-9600) partner with In Person Assisters throughout Vermont to ensure that Vermonters can get the enrollment help they want, online, by phone or in-person.

Did you know you can access your account online at VermontHealthConnect.gov? Using the online portal you can:

  • Apply for new coverage
  • Make changes to existing coverage
  • View notices and letters sent to you
  • Find out renewal dates

If you are 65 or older, or you are on Medicare because of blindness or a disability...  

Call the Senior HelpLine at 1-800-642-5119.  They can answer your questions, including how to enroll in Medicare. They can also help you choose a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan that works best for you.  You may also qualify for State of Vermont programs, including Medicaid, that help reduce the cost of Medicare. Call Green Mountain Care at 1-800-250- 8427 to find out more information, and get help applying for those programs. You will need to fill out a paper application to apply. If you need help filling out the application, you can call Green Mountain Care or the Senior HelpLine
